Priscilla Dufilho

Priscilla served honorably for 7 years in the U.S. Army on active duty. She was medically discharged in 1999 as a Sergeant in the medical corps. While on active duty, she broke her back and soon found herself a civilian. She had no health insurance and was uncertain as how to get help from the Veterans Administration (VA). After years of stuggling with the VA System, she learned what not to do. She is now an advocate for veterans and is regularly lobbying at the Capitol in Washington D.C. speaking to officials including Senators and House members on behalf of veterans around the world.
